Man Arrested for Rape and Child Pornography

Brian Groo, a 24-year-old registered sex offender from Horsham, Pennsylvania, has been arrested and charged with multiple offenses including the rape of a 10-month-old boy and the creation and distribution of child pornography. The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office received a tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children, leading investigators to Groo's account on the messaging platform Kik, where videos of the abuse were allegedly shared. A search of Groo's home revealed a hidden cellphone containing the Kik app and the incriminating videos. Groo, who was on probation for previous child pornography charges, confessed to producing and sharing the video after receiving similar content from another individual. His bail has been set at over $2 million, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 14, 2024. Groo faces severe charges that highlight ongoing concerns about child exploitation.
