Epic Sues Google, Samsung Over App Store Block

Epic Games has filed a new antitrust lawsuit against Google and Samsung, accusing them of conspiring to restrict competition in app distribution through Samsung's Auto Blocker feature. This feature, which prevents the installation of apps from unauthorized sources, is enabled by default and allegedly makes it difficult for users to install third-party app stores, like Epic Games Store. Epic contends that this tactic cements Google's Play Store as the dominant app distribution platform on Samsung devices, undermining a recent legal victory against Google's app store monopoly. Samsung and Google deny the allegations, asserting that Auto Blocker is intended to enhance user security.
