Ongoing Anti-Terror Operation in Kathua, Kashmir

An anti-terrorist operation is ongoing in Kog-Mandli village, Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, where three to four foreign terrorists are believed to be hiding. The operation was initiated after terrorists opened fire on security forces, resulting in the death of a policeman and injuries to two others. As of now, there have been no reports of fresh firing, and both injured officers are in stable condition. Additional Director General of Police, Anand Jain, confirmed that the area is under a tight security cordon and that efforts continue to neutralize the terrorists ahead of the assembly polls scheduled for October 1. The operation has entered its second day with senior officials on-site to oversee the situation. The police are committed to ensuring a violence-free voting process in the region.
