Remains of Missing Denver Man Found in Black Canyon

Human remains believed to be those of Jordan Marsters, a missing Denver man, have been discovered in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Marsters was last seen on February 13 and reported missing by his family on February 15. The remains were found in a remote and technically challenging area, prompting the National Park Service (NPS) to seek assistance from nearby parks with advanced technical skills for recovery. Multiple agencies, including the Montrose Police Department, Denver Police Department, and local search and rescue volunteers, contributed to the search efforts. The death is under investigation, with authorities deeming it unwitnessed, and the medical examiner's office is set to confirm the identity once the remains are recovered.
