Linda Robson, the 66-year-old star of 'Loose Women', has shared her alarming experience of nearly falling victim to a scam where impersonators used her daughter's nickname, 'Bobbi Girl', to solicit emergency funds. While filming the show, she received a WhatsApp message claiming her daughter needed £150 after dropping her phone in the toilet. It was only after a colleague's warning and a security check involving a family pet's name that she realized it was a scam. Robson expressed her shock at how convincing the scam was and stressed the growing prevalence of such incidents, especially among older individuals. In response, she is collaborating with BT Group to educate her peers on online safety and digital skills. Linda emphasized the need for vigilance against such scams, particularly for those who might not be as tech-savvy.
