Teen Arrested for Planting Hidden Camera at Mall

An 18-year-old named Andy Cardenas was arrested for planting a hidden camera in a restroom at the Newport Mall's JCPenney in Jersey City, New Jersey. The device, discovered on August 9 by a woman, contained numerous videos of unsuspecting individuals, including approximately 35 videos of adult women and four videos of minors. The footage also showed Cardenas setting up the device, leading to his arrest on October 1 and a charge of third-degree invasion of privacy. Investigators have found images from several unidentified restrooms on the device and are seeking public assistance to identify these locations. Cardenas is scheduled to appear in court on October 22. The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities urging anyone with information to contact the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit.
