A recall has been issued for nearly 138,000 Lucid-branded platform beds due to safety concerns, as the beds can sag, break, or collapse during use, posing fall and injury risks. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Health Canada reported 245 incidents in the U.S., resulting in 18 injuries, while Canada recorded 11 additional incidents without injuries. Manufactured between 2019 and 2021, these beds were sold through major retailers including Amazon, Walmart, and Bed Bath & Beyond until April 2024. Customers are urged to stop using the beds immediately and contact Lucid for a free replacement frame. To facilitate the recall process, consumers must mark the bed's support rails as “recalled” and provide photographic evidence to Lucid. The recalled beds can be identified by a white law label on the back of the headboard stating 'Made For: CVB INC, 1525 W 2960 S, LOGAN, UT 84321'.
