Peter Wilson, a celebrated British double trap marksman and Olympic gold medalist, has expressed his interest in coaching the Indian shooting team for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Recently, he guided Nathan Hales to a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, showcasing his coaching capabilities. Wilson, who holds the world record in double trap, has emailed his CV to the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) and aims to prepare both senior and junior teams for future competitions. He believes that continental championships will serve as stepping stones toward Olympic success and has confidence in adapting to the Indian setup. The NRAI has acknowledged his application and is in the process of finalizing their coaching arrangements, considering other notable candidates as well. Wilson, who has been coached by Olympic gold medalist Ahmad Al Maktoum, is determined to achieve 'success' with Indian shooters.
