Laurie Anderson Releases New Song 'Amelia'

Laurie Anderson has collaborated with ANOHNI on a new single titled 'India And On Down To Australia,' from her upcoming album 'Amelia,' set to release on August 30th. The album serves as a concept piece reflecting on the tragic last flight of aviator Amelia Earhart and features an expansive orchestral arrangement with contributions from the Filharmonie Brno. Anderson described the creation of the track, highlighting that it was built from an unreleased song called 'Rumba Club' recorded during the pandemic. She skillfully combined her electronic viola with orchestral elements, resulting in a romantic orchestral sound. The album will include 22 tracks and marks Anderson's first release since her Grammy-winning 'Landfall' in 2018. 'India And On Down To Australia' showcases the artistic prowess of both Anderson and ANOHNI, promising a unique listening experience.
