Aurora Chiropractor Faces Multiple Sex Assault Charges

Murtaza Hameed, a 46-year-old chiropractor from Naperville, Illinois, has been denied pretrial release after being charged with one count of criminal sexual assault, five counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, one count of attempted criminal sexual assault, and one count of misdemeanor battery involving two teenage boys at his Aurora office. The most recent alleged assault occurred on January 11, 2025, when a 17-year-old patient reported the abuse to his father, leading to an investigation by Aurora police and the DuPage County Children’s Center. During the investigation, authorities also discovered a 2016 allegation involving a then-16-year-old boy. Hameed remains in custody, and his next court appearance is scheduled for June 2.
