Rupert Friend Misses Birth During Jurassic World Filming

Rupert Friend recently shared the emotional story of missing the birth of his daughter while filming Jurassic World: Rebirth in London. He was performing a high-wire stunt when he was informed his wife, Aimee Mullins, was in labor in the U.S., prompting a rushed attempt to catch the last flight back. Although he could not be there in person, a 20-minute flight delay allowed him to witness the birth via FaceTime from the airport, where he was moved to tears. Friend and Mullins, who married in 2016, have kept their daughter's details private, affectionately nicknaming her "the Jurassic baby" due to the timing of her birth during the film’s production. Mullins, an accomplished athlete and actress, notably competed in the 1996 Summer Paralympics and has appeared in popular series. Jurassic World: Rebirth, starring Friend alongside Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali, is set to premiere on July 2.
