Greece and Santorini have once again achieved top honors at the 13th annual Leisure Lifestyle Awards, hosted by the prominent U.S. travel magazine Global Traveler. Greece was recognized as the 'Best Historical Attractions, International' for the fourth consecutive year, highlighting its enduring cultural appeal to American travelers. Santorini maintained its status as 'Best Island in Europe' for the twelfth straight year, underscoring its strong international reputation. The awards are based on a reader survey conducted from September 2024 to January 2025, with Global Traveler’s nearly 550,000 high-income readers, many of whom are frequent international travelers. The accolades will be presented at a ceremony in Miami in May 2025, with Greek officials attending to represent the country. These distinctions reflect Greece's and Santorini's sustained popularity and appeal in the luxury travel market.
