Murals Across the US Celebrate Black Contributions to Music

Several new murals celebrating Black contributions to various music genres have been unveiled across the United States. In Denver, artist Thomas Evans, known as Detour, revealed a mural in the RiNo neighborhood to honor individuals advancing equality for people of color in Colorado. In Nashville, a mural at Vanderbilt University commemorates Black country music icons like DeFord Bailey and Ray Charles. Meanwhile, in Aurora, a mural by Max Sansing celebrates the city's historical connection to the blues, featuring legends such as B.B. King and Buddy Guy. These murals not only honor musical heritage but also aim to educate and inspire communities about Black cultural contributions.
