Artist Dion Kitson from Dudley has created a limited edition series of 1,000 Ozzy Osbourne-themed banknotes as a tribute to the late heavy metal legend who died in July 2025. The notes, which replace the King on the £5, £10, £20, and £50 bills with images of Osbourne and moments from his life, are printed on cotton and linen paper with security features, and 30% of proceeds benefit Parkinson's UK, a cause close to Osbourne's family due to his diagnosis in 2019. Kitson's detailed designs include subtle elements such as an angel giving Tony Iommi a guitar, reflecting Osbourne's connection to Birmingham and the heavy metal genre's origins there. Osbourne's funeral procession in Birmingham drew large crowds, and the city has preserved the many tributes left by fans, including flowers, guitars, and artwork, underscoring his deep ties to his hometown. Kitson also painted a mural of Osbourne in Birmingham and attended the funeral procession, emphasizing the artist's personal connection and the community's mourning. The banknotes have been popular, with over 1,000 sold since release, and remain available online to honor Osbourne's legacy and raise funds for charity.
