Carnival Cruise Line Prepares for July Opening of Celebration Key in Grand Bahama

Carnival Cruise Line is set to unveil its new private destination, Celebration Key, on July 19, 2025, with recent updates showcasing significant construction progress. Located on Grand Bahama Island, the expansive resort will feature five themed 'portals to paradise', including areas tailored for families and adults, alongside a 10-story centerpiece known as the Suncastle. Carnival executives, including CEO Josh Weinstein and President Christine Duffy, recently toured the site, commemorating the occasion by planting palm trees and placing keys into the Suncastle as part of a maritime tradition. The destination will be accessible exclusively to Carnival guests and will include a range of amenities such as lagoons, water slides, and cultural experiences. With the resort nearing completion, the cruise line emphasizes its commitment to sustainability through various ecological initiatives. Approximately 500 construction workers are currently on-site to ensure the timely opening of Celebration Key.
