Three Dead in Woodstock Crash; Investigation Ongoing

A tragic multi-vehicle crash in unincorporated Woodstock, Illinois, on Sunday afternoon resulted in three fatalities and one serious injury. The incident occurred at around 12 p.m. on Davis Road, involving a silver SUV and a black sedan, with the latter fully engulfed in flames upon emergency crews' arrival. The driver of the SUV and two occupants of the sedan were pronounced dead at the scene, while a juvenile, trapped in the SUV, was airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center in serious condition. A Jeep was also involved, struck by debris, but its occupants were unharmed. Speed, reckless driving, and potential alcohol involvement are considered contributing factors, but the McHenry County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate. Emergency responders quickly contained the vehicle fire, preventing it from spreading to nearby areas.
