Police Pursuit in Wooster Ends with Man Shot After Firing on Officers

A police chase in Wooster, Ohio, ended with a suspect hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after he opened fire on officers during the pursuit. The incident began when police attempted to stop a Honda Pilot with a stolen license plate, but the suspect fled and fired multiple shots at officers. The chase involved various law enforcement agencies, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Wayne County Sheriff's Office, who later located the vehicle and initiated a second pursuit. After a collision with police vehicles, the suspect was taken into custody and subsequently hospitalized. Fortunately, no officers were injured during the exchange of gunfire. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is now conducting an investigation into the incident.
