Deise Moura dos Anjos Found Dead in Prison

Deise Moura dos Anjos, a Brazilian woman accused of fatally poisoning three family members with arsenic-laced Christmas cake, was found dead in her prison cell, an apparent suicide by hanging. Deise had been in custody since January 5, charged with triple homicide and attempted homicide after the tragic incident on Christmas Eve 2024, where arsenic-contaminated flour led to the deaths of her mother-in-law's sister and niece, and hospitalization of others.
