School Boards Honor Educators and Students

Multiple school districts have recently recognized exceptional educators and student achievements across various ceremonies. In Troup County, Kitty Crawford received the Lillie Moncus Special Education Administrator of the Year Award, highlighting her dedication to special education, while students and staff were honored for their contributions to educational initiatives. In Hampton, two educators, Brian Gray and Jason Schrack, were recognized at the Celebrating Leadership in Education Awards, with Schrack being named a semifinalist for Teacher of the Year. Southmont school board celebrated the achievements of senior golfer Addison Meadows and addressed concerns regarding bullying policies. Additionally, Pine River High School's Hannah Frederick was honored with the inaugural Superintendent’s Award of Excellence, and Tom Shook was recognized for his long tenure on the school board. Lastly, Edmond schools acknowledged various accomplishments, including Daisy Woods being named National Indian Education Association Teacher of the Year and several teams achieving state championships.
