Vince Vaughn Buys Pickleball Team

Actor Vince Vaughn has acquired a majority ownership stake in the Coachella Valley Scorpions, a professional pickleball team in the National Pickleball League (NPL) for players aged 50 and over. Co-owner Kim Jagd, who is also a player, will retain a minority share. Vaughn's involvement is seen as a boost for the team and the growing sport, which has seen a 223.5% increase in participation since 2020. Vaughn and Jagd met on a pickleball court in Manhattan Beach, and Vaughn expressed excitement about supporting the team's journey. The NPL has expanded significantly, doubling its number of teams since its inaugural season in 2023. Vaughn joins other celebrities, like Drake and Michael B. Jordan, in investing in the burgeoning sport.
