Actor Vince Vaughn has acquired a majority ownership stake in the Coachella Valley Scorpions, a professional pickleball team in the National Pickleball League (NPL) for players aged 50 and over. Co-owner Kim Jagd, who is also a player, will retain a minority share. Vaughn's involvement is seen as a boost for the team and the growing sport, which has seen a 223.5% increase in participation since 2020. Vaughn and Jagd met on a pickleball court in Manhattan Beach, and Vaughn expressed excitement about supporting the team's journey.
