AJ Foyt Racing announced it will return to the INDY NXT by Firestone championship starting in 2026 with a two-car program supported by a strategic alliance with HMD Motorsports. This marks the team's second foray into INDY NXT, having previously competed and won with A.J. Foyt IV securing the inaugural series championship in 2002 and Ed Carpenter winning the Freedom 100 in 2003.
