Delta plane wing clips aircraft in Atlanta delaying Guatemala flight
A Delta Air Lines flight departing from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to Guatemala City was delayed Sunday morning after its wing clipped another, empty Delta aircraft during pushback from the gate. All 192 passengers, along with two pilots and four flight attendants, were safely transferred to another plane, and no injuries were reported. The incident caused a delay of nearly four hours, with the replacement aircraft departing just before 2 p.m. Both Delta and airport officials confirmed that the empty plane involved was an A350 and that its status did not impact ongoing operations. Delta has apologized for the inconvenience and is working to accommodate affected passengers. No further details about the cause of the incident have been released.
