Nations Expand Evacuations Amid Iran-Israel Conflict
As the Israel-Iran conflict escalates, a growing number of countries are evacuating their citizens and diplomatic staff from the region. Japan has deployed Self-Defense Forces aircraft to Djibouti and is considering bus evacuations for its nationals in Iran, while the US is operating evacuation flights and cruise ship departures for Americans in Israel and has temporarily closed its embassy in Jerusalem. Nigeria is preparing to evacuate its citizens from both Israel and Iran, urging them to register with embassies and adhere to safety protocols. Most Latin American countries, including Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, and Bolivia, have already evacuated diplomatic staff from Tehran following heavy Israeli airstrikes. Indonesia has prepared contingency plans but has not ordered evacuations, and India has established an evacuation corridor for students from Tehran to Armenia. Governments continue to monitor the situation closely and advise nationals to remain vigilant.
