Sportradar Completes $225M Acquisition of IMG Arena's Global Sports Betting Rights

Sportradar has completed its acquisition of IMG ARENA and its global sports betting rights portfolio from Endeavor Group Holdings and OB Global Holdings, significantly expanding its global sports coverage to over one million matches annually across 14 sports and six continents. The acquisition includes strategic relationships with more than 70 rights holders and approximately 38,000 official data events and 29,000 streaming events each year, enhancing Sportradar's offerings in major sports such as football, tennis, and basketball. This deal, which involves no direct payment from Sportradar but rather $225 million in financial consideration to Sportradar and certain rights holders from the seller, is expected to be accretive to Sportradar's adjusted EBITDA margins and free cash flow conversion while accelerating growth in revenue and profitability. The acquisition also brings a trio of tennis Grand Slams—the US Open, Wimbledon, and French Open—into Sportradar's portfolio, complementing its ATP Tour rights and strengthening its position in tennis betting rights. The integration of IMG ARENA's portfolio is anticipated to boost product development and content distribution through Sportradar’s scalable technology platform and extensive client network. Following regulatory approval from the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, the IMG Arena brand will be retired as its operations are fully absorbed under Sportradar.
