Multiple Dance Events Revive 2000s Culture Across US Cities

Several unique dance events are happening in late August and September across different locations. On August 22, Metrobar will host the Ultimate 00’s Live Band Dance Party featuring the So Fetch! band playing early 2000s pop, rock, and hip-hop hits. The Beach Sessions Dance Series returns on August 23 at Rockaway Beach with a new site-specific commission by choreographer Kim Brandt, known for her innovative, spatial choreography. On September 14, the Ferry Building will host DAYBREAKER, a morning dance party combining wellness activities like yoga and breathwork with a dance party, emphasizing a fun and inclusive atmosphere. Additionally, four teens from the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City participated in the nXt@DJX Summer Camp at the Hard Rock, gaining hands-on DJ skills and music production experience as part of a broader youth empowerment mission. These events highlight a vibrant dance culture ranging from nostalgic live band performances and innovative choreography to wellness-focused and youth-oriented music education programs.
