The series will be created, executive produced, and showrun by Charlie Covell, known for The End of the F***ing World and KAOS, and produced in collaboration with Square Enix, Story Kitchen, LuckyChap, and Amazon MGM Studios. The adaptation will focus on the original game's storyline, following Max, a photography student who discovers she can rewind time while saving her childhood best friend Chloe, as they investigate a mysterious disappearance in their town. Despite multiple previous attempts to adapt the game, this new project aims to capture the emotional depth and cultural significance of the franchise, with Covell expressing enthusiasm about sharing Max and Chloe's story with both fans and new audiences. The series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video worldwide, though details on production timelines and casting have yet to be revealed.
