Mercedes-Benz has launched the limited-edition G-Class 'Stronger Than The 1980s,' a tribute to the original 1979 W460 G-Class, with only 460 units available worldwide as G 450 d and G 550 variants. The vehicle features retro design elements such as Agave Green and Colorado Beige colors, blacked-out trim, amber indicators, plaid cloth seats, and five-spoke wheels, drawing inspiration from both the W460 and the 500,000th G-Class built in 2023. Despite its nostalgic styling, the model maintains the advanced off-road capabilities and comfort of the modern G-Class. Prices start at approximately £152,815 (about $203,000), and the edition is positioned as a collector’s item for enthusiasts. The release taps into the growing trend of heritage-inspired luxury vehicles. While the model name has received some criticism for its length, the response from G-Wagen fans has been positive.
