Three Men Charged with Manslaughter After Golf Course Fatality

Three men—John McDonald, Johnny McDonald, and Brett Delaney—have been charged with manslaughter following the death of Suzanne Cherry, who was fatally struck by a Nissan van at Aston Wood Golf Club in Staffordshire. John McDonald faces additional charges of assault by beating and failing to stop a vehicle when directed by police. The incident occurred after police began pursuing the van in response to reports of suspicious activity; the pursuit ended before the van left the road and hit Cherry, who later died in hospital. The Independent Office for Police Conduct is investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash. Cherry's husband paid tribute to her, describing his devastation at witnessing the tragedy and highlighting her positive impact on her family and community. Three other men arrested in connection with the case have been released on bail with conditions.
