Founders Metals Expands High-Grade Gold Zone to 500m Depth at Antino, Suriname
Founders Metals Inc. has announced significant drilling results at its Antino Gold Project in southeastern Suriname, revealing high-grade gold zones and expanding the known mineralization to a vertical depth of over 500 meters. The highlight includes a 46-meter intercept grading 3.59 grams per tonne of gold at the Main Froyo Shear, confirming continuity of high-grade domains, alongside other notable intersections such as 24 meters at 2.03 grams per tonne. This progress comes from an ongoing fully funded 60,000-meter drilling campaign and is seen as substantially increasing the expansion potential at the project. The company has also initiated a second drilling phase targeting the Maria Geralda zone to build on these promising results. Despite challenges related to financial performance and negative cash flow, Founders Metals has secured strong financing, including a $30-million bought deal and investment from B2Gold, which supports its exploration efforts. Meanwhile, Xtra Energy Corporation reported preliminary findings from its Arrance Mine in Nevada, discovering a thick stibnite-bearing dike with bonanza-grade gold zones, highlighting progress in securing critical minerals for U.S. national security, but these results remain preliminary pending further assay confirmation.
