The state's health department has intensified surveillance at airports and is urging travelers from affected regions to report symptoms immediately. Isolation wards have been prepared in 14 hospitals to manage potential outbreaks effectively. Preliminary tests indicate the presence of clade 2 of the virus, similar to previous cases reported in India, and not part of the more severe clade 1 strain.
