Marianne Vos, widely regarded as one of the greatest female cyclists, won the opening stage of the Tour de France Femmes, marking her 258th career victory. She overtook her teammate Pauline Ferrand-Prévot in the final metres of the 78.8 km stage, which ended with a climb on the Cote de Cadoudal in Plumelec, while Kim Le Court-Pienaar finished second and Ferrand-Prévot third.
