Steve Jobs' Superyacht Collides with Lady Moura

The superyacht Venus, commissioned by the late Steve Jobs and now owned by his widow Laurene Powell Jobs, collided with the mega-yacht Lady Moura, owned by Ricardo Salinas Pliego, off the coast of Naples, Italy on July 22. Both yachts were anchored when a sudden change in wind caused Venus to drift into Lady Moura, resulting in a significant scratch but no major damage. No family members were aboard either yacht at the time; only crew members were present. Discussions between the captains indicated that minor repairs would be needed, and insurance is expected to cover the costs. Footage of the incident, shared by Salinas Pliego on social media, shows the collision and subsequent attempts by Lady Moura’s crew to alert the Venus crew. The Italian Marina Militare and representatives from Emerson Collective have yet to comment on the incident.
