Guy Ritchie Directs Road House 2 Sequel

Amazon MGM Studios has officially greenlit Road House 2, with Guy Ritchie set to direct and Jake Gyllenhaal returning as Dalton. Ritchie replaces Doug Liman, who left after a public dispute over the original's streaming-only release. The first film, a remake of the 1989 Patrick Swayze classic, became Amazon's most-watched produced film debut, drawing nearly 80 million viewers in eight weeks on Prime Video. While plot details for the sequel remain under wraps, the original film ended with Dalton leaving the Florida Keys and a mid-credits tease for a returning antagonist, though it's unclear where the sequel will be set or which characters will return. Will Beall is writing the script, and this project marks the third collaboration between Ritchie and Gyllenhaal. The sequel continues Ritchie’s run of high-profile work with Amazon MGM Studios.
