LA Prosecutors Drop Charges Against Marilyn Manson After Investigation

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced that no charges will be filed against Marilyn Manson, following a four-year investigation into allegations of sexual assault and domestic violence. Prosecutors determined that many allegations exceeded the statute of limitations and that there was insufficient evidence to prove sexual assault claims beyond a reasonable doubt. Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, has faced accusations from several women, including actress Esmé Bianco and his ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood, all of whom have shared troubling accounts of abuse. While Manson has denied all wrongdoing, he previously filed a civil suit against Wood, which he later dropped. The DA’s office expressed appreciation for the courage of the women who came forward, acknowledging their role in raising awareness about the issues of domestic abuse and sexual assault. Following the announcement, Manson confirmed via social media that he would continue with his global tour, which includes upcoming shows in the U.S.
