Steve A. McBee, a 52-year-old farmer from Gallatin, Missouri, and star of the reality TV series 'The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys', pleaded guilty in federal court to a multimillion-dollar crop insurance fraud scheme. McBee admitted to engaging in fraudulent activities between 2018 and 2020 that resulted in a total loss of $4,022,123 to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He submitted false reports to Rain and Hail, underreporting his corn and soybean crops, which enabled him to collect over $2.6 million in insurance benefits and $552,980 in premium subsidies. McBee must forfeit $3,158,923 and faces up to 30 years in federal prison without parole. The court has not yet set a sentencing date. McBee's fraudulent actions also included misrepresentations in 2019 and 2020 regarding the crops planted on his fields.
