Waukesha Teen Charged After Parents Found Dead, Jail Status Confirmed

Nikita Casap, a 17-year-old, was charged with stealing his parents' car and a handgun after their bodies were discovered in their Waukesha home during a welfare check on February 28. Authorities found the bodies of his mother, Tatiana Casap, and stepfather, Donald Mayer, with signs of violent deaths, including gunshot wounds. After being identified as a person of interest, Casap was arrested in Kansas while driving the stolen vehicle on March 2. He was subsequently returned to Waukesha County Jail, where he faces felony charges but has not yet been charged in connection with the deaths.
