Jessica Sanchez Wins AGT Season 20

At the Season 20 finals of America’s Got Talent at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, Jessica Sanchez, 30, was crowned the winner and awarded the $1 million prize and a Las Vegas headlining opportunity. Sanchez—who first appeared on AGT at age 10 and later finished as the runner-up on American Idol—had received a Golden Buzzer from judge Sofía Vergara and sealed the win with a finale performance of “Die With a Smile” while pregnant. Jourdan Blue finished third after duetting with The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue, and other finalists delivered a wide range of acts from LED spectacle to rap and bilingual routines. Judges Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, Mel B and Howie Mandel praised the strong field as the series marked its 20th anniversary. Auditions for the next season are now open and media outlets are featuring Sanchez’s victory and upcoming performances.
