Team GB celebrated a historic milestone at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, securing its 1,000th medal with a silver in the men’s cycling team pursuit. Of the total medals, 360 have been won since the introduction of National Lottery funding. On Day 11, Great Britain added more silver medals, including Josh Kerr's in the 1500 meters and another in the men's team sprint event, while the US triumphed in track and field with Gabby Thomas winning gold in the 200 meters. Additionally, Harry Hepworth made history by winning a bronze in men's vault gymnastics, and Tommy Fleetwood secured silver in golf. Despite setbacks, such as the absence of Athing Mu in the women’s 800m, Team GB remains optimistic about further medal opportunities. Overall, Team GB has now amassed a total of 37 medals in Paris, trailing behind powerhouses like Australia and the USA.
