Law enforcement agencies in Northern California have recently dismantled several large illegal marijuana cultivation operations. In Calaveras County, deputies removed 612 growing marijuana plants valued at approximately $500,000 from a converted structure with significant electrical and plumbing code violations posing safety hazards; no suspects were present during the raid, and investigations continue. Similarly, the Humboldt County Sheriff's Marijuana Enforcement Team executed warrants in the Willow Creek–Salyer area, seizing 2,506 plants tied to individuals operating across Humboldt and Trinity counties. In Mariposa County, authorities eradicated about 3,600 marijuana plants across two illegal farms, resulting in two arrests and concerns over environmental damage at the sites. These coordinated efforts highlight ongoing regional crackdowns on unauthorized cannabis grows, with authorities urging the public to report any illegal activities through designated tip lines.
