Ryan Lindgren Close to Returning for Rangers
Ryan Lindgren is making progress towards returning from an upper-body injury, having skated in a regular jersey during practice. Although still on injured reserve, his participation is a positive sign, and he is expected to be eligible to return by Thursday's game against the Detroit Red Wings. Coach Peter Laviolette noted that while Lindgren's status remains unchanged, it would be beneficial for him to participate in a full practice. In Lindgren's absence, rookie Victor Mancini has impressed, making the decision on who to keep in the lineup complicated, as he competes with Zac Jones for a spot. Mancini has performed well, averaging 15:12 TOI and contributing defensively despite not yet scoring. The Rangers' defensive pairings have been adjusted during Lindgren's recovery, with K’Andre Miller and Adam Fox leading the top pair.
