Former NFL Star Adrian Peterson Arrested in Texas on DWI, Weapon Charges

Adrian Peterson, a former NFL star and 2012 MVP, was arrested in Sugar Land, Texas, on charges of driving while intoxicated (DWI) and unlawful carrying of a weapon after police found him asleep behind the wheel of his running SUV at a gas station. Officers responding to a welfare check found Peterson disoriented with bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and the odor of alcohol; he admitted to consuming two to four shots of vodka several hours earlier.
