Suspect Arrested in Devil’s Den Double Murder Case
James Andrew McGann, 28, of Springdale, Arkansas, was arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder for the killing of Clinton and Cristen Brink while they were hiking with their two young daughters at Devil’s Den State Park. The attack occurred on Saturday, and following a five-day manhunt involving state police, the FBI, and local authorities, McGann was apprehended at a business in Springdale. Both McGann and the Brink family had recently moved to the area, and authorities report no known connection between them. The Brink daughters, aged 7 and 9, were unharmed and are now with relatives. Details about the motive and the manner of the killings have not been released, but the suspect is believed to have sustained an injury during the attack. Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders praised law enforcement's efforts and offered condolences to the Brink family.
