Indiana Women’s Basketball Defeats Brown 82-60

In their season opener, the No. 24 Indiana women's basketball team secured an 82-60 victory against Brown; however, head coach Teri Moren was far from pleased with her team's performance. Despite leading for most of the game, Moren criticized the Hoosiers for their lackluster defense, allowing Brown to make 11 three-pointers and committing 18 turnovers. She emphasized that such a performance would not be sufficient to win games in the Big Ten, stating, 'A win, sure, but this performance tonight will not win you any Big Ten game.' Moren highlighted the need for greater discipline and accountability from her veteran players, expressing disappointment in their mental lapses and lack of energy on the court. Notably, senior forward Karoline Striplin shone with 17 points in her debut, while graduate guard Sydney Parrish contributed a double-double. The team now looks to improve their performance ahead of their next matchup against Harvard.
