Memorial Day Ceremonies Honor Veterans Nationwide

Solomon National Cemetery held its 26th annual ceremony featuring cannon salutes, musical performances, and commemorations marking significant anniversaries in American military history. Bowling Green, Ohio, will host a Memorial Day parade with rolling street closures and a ceremony at Oak Grove Cemetery, including speeches and musical tributes. DuBois, Pennsylvania, will hold a service at St. Catherine’s Cemetery to honor veterans, with a rain location at the local VFW hall. Fresno, California, is holding its 62nd annual Memorial Day Service and Dedication of the Avenue of Flags at Fresno Memorial Gardens, emphasizing volunteer involvement. Greenville, South Carolina, will conduct a ceremony at Montrose Cemetery with musical performances, readings, and a 21-gun salute, featuring a history of “Taps” as a new element.
