EHang Secures 50 eVTOL Order for Guizhou Low-Altitude Tourism
EHang Holdings Limited has secured a purchase order for 50 units of its EH216-S pilotless electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft from Guizhou Scenic Tourism Development, a subsidiary of Guizhou Tourism Group. These aircraft will be deployed across scenic areas in Guizhou province to enhance low-altitude aerial tourism and sightseeing services, aligning with the provincial government's strategic focus on developing the low-altitude economy through its 2025-2027 action plan. EHang has also signed a cooperation agreement with Anshun City's Economic and Technological Development Zone to promote tech-driven cultural tourism and advance regional aerospace and low-altitude industry growth, leveraging Anshun's established aerospace supply chain and infrastructure. Local officials aim to position Anshun as a benchmark city for China's low-altitude economic development, fostering innovation in aircraft R&D, manufacturing, and trial operations. The order represents a significant milestone for EHang, validating its product's reliability following its regulatory certifications and supporting the company's expansion into commercial low-altitude aviation markets. Guizhou Tourism Group views the introduction of pilotless aircraft as transformative for its tourism offerings, enhancing the region's appeal and pioneering innovation in the sector.
