Metro plans multiple road closures for D Line subway work

Metro has announced a series of weekend street closures at key intersections along Wilshire Boulevard in June as part of the D Line subway extension project, with closures at Wilshire/Fairfax, Wilshire/Western, and Wilshire/La Brea scheduled on separate weekends. In addition to the intersection closures, Wilshire/Western and Wilshire/Normandie stations will be closed for over two months to connect the new subway segment, with shuttle services and Metro bus lines providing alternative transit options for riders. Daily lane closures and ongoing street restoration work continue at several locations along Wilshire Boulevard, affecting traffic flow and reducing available lanes, particularly at the Wilshire/La Cienega station area. Metro advises that detailed detour routes will be announced prior to each closure to help drivers navigate the affected areas.
