Bobby Witt Jr. Hits Walk-Off Single, Royals Rally to 4-3 Victory over White Sox
The Kansas City Royals staged a dramatic ninth-inning comeback to defeat the Chicago White Sox 4-3, securing their fourth consecutive win and extending their home winning streak against the White Sox to nine games. Trailing 3-1 entering the bottom of the eighth, the Royals narrowed the deficit with a Salvador Perez double before rallying in the ninth with contributions from several players, including Jonathan India, who drove in the tying run. Bobby Witt Jr., previously hitless in the game, delivered a walk-off single to center field with the bases loaded, marking his second career walk-off and sending the home crowd into celebration. Starting pitchers Seth Lugo and Sean Burke both delivered solid outings, but late-inning errors and timely hitting determined the game's outcome. The White Sox took early leads with RBI singles from Brooks Baldwin and Andrew Vaughn, but could not hold off the surging Royals. Kansas City has now won 13 of their last 15 games, continuing their strong start to the season.
