Dolphins Beat Jets; Tyreek Hill Suffers Knee Injury
The Miami Dolphins snapped an 0-3 skid with a 27-21 victory over the New York Jets Monday night, extending their home winning streak against the Jets to 10 games. Miami built an early multi-possession lead by forcing three Jets fumbles and converting takeaways into points; the defense also recorded sacks and energized the offense. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was efficient (17-for-25, 177 yards, two TDs, no turnovers) and veteran tight end Darren Waller, playing his first NFL game in nearly two years, caught two touchdown passes in his Dolphins debut. De'Von Achane rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown, while New York fell to 0-4 amid costly turnovers and penalties. The win was tempered by a gruesome left-knee injury to star receiver Tyreek Hill, who was carted to a hospital and is feared to have dislocated his knee — a diagnosis that could sideline him long-term and leaves significant uncertainty about Miami’s offense despite providing coach Mike McDaniel some breathing room.
