Spirit Flight Cleared After Detroit Bomb Threat

A Spirit Airlines flight scheduled to depart from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport to Los Angeles was evacuated Thursday morning following a bomb threat reported around 7 a.m. Passengers were safely transported by bus to the Evans Terminal for rescreening while the aircraft was moved to a remote location. Law enforcement and the Transportation Security Administration conducted a thorough inspection of the plane and found no bomb present. After clearance, the flight was allowed to depart for Los Angeles later that day.
