Spirit Flight Cleared After Detroit Bomb Threat
A Spirit Airlines flight scheduled to depart from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport to Los Angeles was evacuated Thursday morning following a bomb threat reported around 7 a.m. Passengers were safely transported by bus to the Evans Terminal for rescreening while the aircraft was moved to a remote location. Law enforcement and the Transportation Security Administration conducted a thorough inspection of the plane and found no bomb present. After clearance, the flight was allowed to depart for Los Angeles later that day. Spirit Airlines reiterated that guest and crew safety is their top priority, and authorities continue to investigate the source of the threat. No injuries were reported.
