38 Special Plans First Album Release Since 2004 for 50th Anniversary

Southern rock band 38 Special is set to release their first new studio album in over 20 years, titled Milestone, on September 19, 2025, to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The album features collaborations with Pat Monahan of Train, Randy Bachman of Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and longtime collaborator Jim Peterik, who also co-produced the record with frontman Don Barnes. Milestone offers a fresh, updated sound inspired by 1960s bands like the Searchers, incorporating jangling guitars with modern rock elements, representing both a homage to their roots and a step into the future. The lead single, "All I Haven't Said," sets the tone for the album's blend of melody and power, showcasing the band's refined and modernized style. Don Barnes emphasized the band's commitment to making a strong statement with this release, reflecting their stamina and dedication after decades together. Currently, 38 Special is touring with Kansas and continues to engage audiences with their energetic live performances.
